John Bruno was born and raised in Colorado. He earned his master’s degree with a focus in metallurgy from the Colorado School of Mines. He went on to become president of his own metal refining company, specializing in the recovery of precious metals from recycled electronics. 

John was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2012. Over the years, he tried countless mobility products and devices, searching for something that could effectively support his walking. Nothing worked. Out of necessity, he began designing and developing his own external walking support device, refining it through hands-on testing and personal experience until he created a solution that worked for him.

His daughter, Savannah, encouraged him to share his invention with others living with mobility challenges. Together, they developed Gait-Rx with a simple goal: to help people with foot drop and mobility difficulties walk with greater support, confidence, and independence.
